Célia: The new voice

Capeverdean singer Célia Levy is set to reissue her debut album “Um flor especial” (Special Flower) in the fall 2009.

Originally released this past summer, “Um flor especial” draws heavily influences on Zouk, Reggaeton, Kizomba, Samba, R&B and pop Rock, all produced by the likes of Manu Lima, Philippe Monteiro, Loran, Djoy Delgado, Roger, Thierry Doumergue, Eddy Goyor, Danny Lavital, Constância, and JAY (Gé l’ingé) who has produced Wyclef Jean, Lynnsha and La MC Malcriado.

On this record, Célia, who currently resides in Paris, France, collaborated with artists such as Dyce, Mariza, Kaysha, Roger and Hams.

A native of Lisbon, Portugal, Célia possesses compelling vocals, which is expressive and energetic. She started her singing career as a backup singer for artists such as Kaysha, La MC Malcriado, Elisio, Sweetness, and Reydem among others.
